    How do promotion levels work?

    Promotion levels make your listings appear higher.

    You can add a promotion to your listing from within your account.

    Levels

    Promotion level 1 – 9 are reserved for some top level site and section sponsors, including gold level sponsors and silver level sponsors as well as featured listings and website messages.

    So promotion level 10 comes under those, but above…

    promotion level 20 comes under that.

    promotion level 30 comes under that.

    promotion level 40 comes under that.

    promotion level 50 comes under that.

    …followed by

    all other non-promoted listings.

    Summary

    Promotion level 50 is inexpensive and will place you above all of the free listings, so it is a good place to start.  You can try this for 30 days and if you wish to place higher you can try a higher promotion level based upon the above.
